Snappy Greens Fitted Diaper Review

Snappy Greens is run by a WAHM, Rebecca. Snappy Greens is a WAHM business dedicated to making Cloth Diapers, UnPaper Towels, and All Things Green for the Modern Mom.

Now, a bit about the fitted diaper. This is a hybrid fitted diaper consisting of a knit outer, a hidden layer of poly fleece, and a cotton velour inner. The diaper comes with three snap in soakers. The top two inserts each have two layers of heavy bamboo fleece topped with cotton velour and the bottom soaker has two layers of hemp/cotton fleece topped with cotton velour. The diaper features a fold down rise allowing a completely customizable fit.

This is the first diaper I have used with a fold down rise and I will say that I was a bit concerned that I would not be able to get a good fit since I have only used and am use to snap down rises. To my surprise, I was able to get a great fit and I actually prefer the fold down rise now since it does not make a "flap" in the front like snap down rises.

I used this diaper for both day time and night time. I used it without a cover during the day and with a cover for over night. Since the diaper comes with three soakers, I tried the diaper using all of them
and just two of them. When all three inserts were used, it was a bit bulky on my little one, but super
absorbent. I was able to use the diaper for 12 to 13 hours over night with only some areas of the outside of the diaper being wet (and my little one is a heavy wetter). I was only intending to use the diaper during the day for about four hours to test the absorbency and see how long it took until the outside felt damp....well, I put the fitted on my little one with out a cover and as circumstances arose and I was not home or did not have any diapers with me, my little one was in the diaper for almost five hours. I was a bit nervous that I would have an issue with my stroller and little one being wet, but the diaper held up. It was just starting to feel damp on the outside. When I used the diaper with only two inserts, I was still able to use it for 12 to 13 hours overnight with only some of the outside being wet and I used it for about 3 to 4 hours during the day.

While I was testing this diaper, I had an issue that I immediately contacted Rebecca about and she, without hesitation, fixed the issue for me. Great customer service! Snappy Greens is a great WAHM owned business and I believe Rebecca will do well.

Overall, this is a very well made fitted diaper and a great diaper if you are looking for something with a lot of absorbency or just simply wanting a cute diaper for you little one.

1. How was the workmanship of the diaper? Were there any flaws I should be aware of?
The workmanship is superb. The stitching is excellent and snaps are secure. I see no flaws with this diaper.

2. How was the fit of the diaper on your child? Was the diaper too small/too large in any areas? What would you recommend be changed?
The fit was snug around the legs and waist. I never had a issue with leaking around the legs. The diaper was a bit bulky, but doable on my little one. The bulkiness was expected with a hybrid fitted diaper and it never seemed to bother my little one. I would not recommend anything be changed.

3. How was the absorbency of the diaper? Did you experience any leaks?
This diaper had an excellent absorbency. I did not experience any leaks.

4. The one area I am very interested in feedback are the 3 soakers. Did you use all three soakers at any time? Do you think all 3 are needed?
I did use all three soakers at one time during the day and overnight. I also used only two soakers during the day and overnight without any problems. From my experience with using this diaper, I would say that all three soakers are not necessary, although it is nice having all three soakers so the the absorbency can be customized. I would say that having the three soakers would set Snappy Greens apart from other fitted diapers.

5. Have you been able to test the diaper overnight? If so, how did it hold up?
I did test the diaper overnight. It held up just fine. Great absorbency.

6. What was your favorite thing about the diaper?
My favorite thing about the diaper is that the rise, fit, and absorbency is completely customizable.

Teaching Babies and Toddler Sign Language....My Experience

I am not an interpreter, nor do I know everything about sign language. I am only writing from my experience and expressing my opinions. When our son was about six months old, I started using simple signs along with saying the word so that he would put the two together. Almost immediately, he understood the sign for 'no' which at times was a big help. At about eight months old, he started using the signs. He was able to sign 'more' 'please' and 'thank you.' Although his 'more' meant either he wanted a drink or he wanted a snack. Now, lets jump ahead...he is now nineteen months old and knows the signs for the following words: more, yes, no, please, thank you, all done or all gone, hot, cold, happy, fan, cup, church, and a few more that I can't think of right at the moment. I know this list looks short, which in part is my fault for not continuing to teach him, but even with these few words, our life has been easier in that we are able to know what he is trying to say. He is know starting to say the word while signing the word. I do not feel like teaching him sign language has hindered his speech in any way. What are your thoughts on the matter...do you think teaching babies and toddlers sign language causes a speech delay? Have you taught your baby or toddler sign language?
